Ethiopian Freight Forwarders and Shipping Agents Association (EFFSAA) and Ethiopian Customs Commission (ECC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand strategic collaboration, to further contribute to making the customs process more efficient, transparent, and accessible.
The MoU was signed by Mrs. Elizabeth Getahun, EFFSAA’s Board President and CEO of Panafric Global, and Ethiopian Customs Commission’s Commissioner, Mr. Debele Kabeta.
According to Commissioner Mr. Debele Kabeta, the agreement is expected to smooth the implementation of customs procedures as well as to address logistics services gaps.
Speaking at the MOU signing ceremony, Mrs. Elizabeth Getahun, our Chief Executive Officer of Panafric Global and Board President of Ethiopian Freight Forwarders and Shipping Agents Association (EFFSAA) said:
“Working in coordination and establishing a conducive system increase the competitiveness of logistics and help to collect taxes and duties generated by the economy.”
